Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University was inaugurated since B.E.2515 - 2558, 43 years. The original name the University was the Chanthaburi Teachers College. Until 15th June 2547, the official name was changed to Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University. B.E.2515 The Faculty of Science and Technology originally named Division of Science which is one of the divisions in Chanthaburi Teachers College. According to Notification of the Education on Chanthaburi Teachers College establishing B.E. 2515, The faculty has firstly provided education in Science and Mathematics. B.E.2518 After the teacher’s college Act B.E.2518 has been declared, Division of Science became Faculty of Science and Technology to serve the needs of the society. During this time nine departments-Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Home Economics, Health, Mathematics, Industrial Art, Physical Education and Agriculture- were established B.E.2527 In agreement with the teacher’s college Act B.E.2527, it allowed the teacher’s college to provide 3 majors which are education, sciences and Liberal Arts. Therefore, the faculty decided to expand the wider range of sciences. It provided 8 departments as follows: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Home Economics, Health, Mathematics and Statistics, craftsmanship and Industrial Art, Computer Education. B.E.2528 Rambhai Barni College has replaced the former name in the commemoration of H.M. Queen Rambhai Barni with permission of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. B.E.2538 Rambhai Barni College was changed to Rambhai Barni Rajabhat Institute. and the Administrative Board became Dean, Faculty of Science and Technology. B.E.2542 As state in Notification of the Education on Government Segmentation in Rajabhat Institute, it was restructured into 8 departments: Mathematics and Statistics, Home Economics, Computer Technology, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Environmental Science and Health Sciences B.E.2547 In line with the Rajabhat University Act B.E.2547, Rambhai Barni Rajabhat Institute had its name changed to Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University. And it dedicated to be the university for local community development. At present The faculty of Science and Technology consists of 7 departments: Mathematics, Home Economics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Environmental Sciences and Statistics.
